CAMPUS SUMMARY
American River College is a public community college, founded in 1955, enrolling full- and part-time students in both day and evening classes.

Conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown Sacramento, the spreading 153-acre campus is dotted with stately valley oaks, the school's official symbol.

The college awards both Associate in Arts (A.A.) and Associate in Science (A.S.) degrees, and occupational certificates, as well as transfer credit to students wishing to continue their education at a four-year institution. Part of the Los Rios Community College District, which includes Cosumnes River, Folsom Lake and Sacramento City Colleges, ARC is regarded as one of the finest two-year colleges in California. Our faculty and support staff are here to help you. If you need help or a question answered, don't hesitate to contact any one of these people. We care about you and your success in school. Whether you are a student or planning to be one, you are important to us. In fact, you are the reason we are here.
