| College of the Desert is located 100 miles from Los Angeles and San Diego among the desert resort communities of the Palm Springs area. COD's 160-acre campus serves the 290,000-plus population of the Coachella Valley, a suburban area with big-city amenities. |

| UNIQUE PROGRAMS |
| COD is a California Community College which offers A.A./A.S. degrees and certificate programs in transfer and occupational fields, programs in developmental education, and cultural and personal enrichment learning opportunities. COD is especially proud of its Alternative Fuels Program. More than 200 international students from 34 countries study at COD. The college is renowned for its tennis and golf teams, perennial winners of state championships. |
