CAMPUS SUMMARY
Founded in 1965, the University of California, Irvine, has developed into a premier academic institution and is noted internationally for its rich academic programs. In September 2000, U.S. News and World Report ranked UCI 10th among all public universities in the country. UCI students can choose an academic program from more than 100 majors, minors, emphases and specializations. The campus, located in Orange County, California, comprises 1,500 acres of coastal foothills and is just minutes away from the Pacific Ocean and John Wayne/Orange County airport.
