About Us - Founded in 1939, we are the first WASC accredited, private Christian university in the greater Sacramento area. We relocated from San Jose in 2004. Our new 126-acre campus in Rocklin, Ca. is located just 20 miles northeast of Sacramento, the state’s capital, in the heart of California's Gold Country. Places like the historic Old Towns of Sacramento and Auburn, Lake Tahoe, the fantastic Sacramento River, Yosemite National Park, and Napa Valley are nearby. Even downtown San Francisco is less than 2 hours away! William Jessup University - Mission Statement In partnership with the Church, the purpose of William Jessup University is to prepare Christians for leadership and service in church and society, through Christian higher education, spiritual formation, and directed experiences.
