CAMPUS SUMMARY
Founded in 1891, the University of La Verne is an independent, private university that emphasizes the liberal arts, sciences, and career preparation.Faculty members and students are drawn from all segments of life and are reflective of the diverse nature of contemporary society. ULV also has a special history of serving students who are the first in their families to attend college. The current undergraduate enrollment is 1,355. The city of La Verne,located 35 miles east of Los Angeles, is a small residential community in the heart of what was once a center of citrus culture. The city is close to all of Southern California's cultural and entertainment centers and is only a short ride from the beaches, mountains, and deserts.
