| The campus of Fresno Pacific University is located in the heart of California's San Joaquin Valley. Founded in 1944, FPU is the only accredited, private, residential Christian liberal arts and sciences university in central California. The park like 42-acre campus has 14 major buildings that include a bookshop, a Special Events Center/gymnasium, and an all-weather track. Fresno is an ethnically and culturally diverse community that is not far from Yosemite, Kings Canyon, and Sequoia National Parks, beaches, and the major metropolitan areas of San Francisco and Los Angeles.
The student-faculty ration at Fresno Pacific is 16:1, and classes having an average of 20 students each. Students at Fresno Pacific come from a variety of cultures, ethnicities, and religious denominations to provide a wide range of experiences to the FPU student.
