Before You Enroll
While it is exciting to be offered admission, there are some important details that you will not want to overlook.
Housing Arrangements
If you will be living on campus, then be sure to be attentive to all of the material the campus provides about housing. Housing applications and deposits are frequently handled by an office other than the Admission Office. Be sure to file all of the material on time and pay the required deposits.
If you will be living off-campus, be sure to start exploring the local housing market early. You may need to make your housing arrangements earlier than you had planned if the campus community has a tight housing market. The campus housing office is the best place to begin your housing search.
Orientation
Virtually all of the campuses have orientation programs that are scheduled before classes begin. Orientation is an excellent way to meet your new classmates, meet with an advisor, learn more about the school, and ease your transition to a new college. Watch for orientation materials in the mail and make plans to attend. Several CSU campuses have mandatory orientation programs.
Placement Tests
Once you have been admitted, you may need to take placement tests. A placement test helps the college place you in the proper class when several levels are available. Be sure to take these tests seriously; they can make a real difference in your class choices.

Other Compliance Issues
Most campuses have an immunization requirement that must be met before starting classes. This is an important consideration, and you need to read and comply with the requirements.
If you are male, 18 years of age or older, and a U.S. resident or U.S. citizen,
make sure you have registered for the Selective Service. If you are seeking financial aid, this is especially important because most forms of aid will not be awarded without certification that you have met this requirement.
